Celebrity Runway Spotlight: Kendall Jenner in Chanel Haute Couture Fall 2015

Each fashion season, Karl Lagerfeld hand-picks a ‘bride’ to close his couture show; someone he deems to be the star of his runway. Calling on the 19-year-old to open and close his spectacular, Kendall wore a modern reinterpretation of the classic Chanel suit complete with a train to close proceedings. HAIR & MAKEUP Kendall Jenner channeled a porcelain doll at the Chanel Fashion Show in Paris, France on July She wore bright pink cheeks, a bold red lip and a black, blunt bob on the runway representing the strong and independent  look modern woman. Kendall’s brows were defined with a nearly black brow filler without an arch, which took away some of the softness of her face. Her eyes were free of mascara and eyeliner aside from a white pencil used on her bottom lid to create a wide-eye appearance. To add even more intensity to her look, Kendall’s hair was styled bone straight in a middle part, leaving all of the focus on her beautiful skin. Fashion Police: First Ladies of Style – Part 1 (The Middle East)

I’ve always admired First Ladies across different continents. They stand strongly besides their husbands, they’re role models for their nations and are constantly put under media scrutiny, they are A-list celebrities and whether rightly or wrongly, they have a lot to live up to. There’s a certain elegance you expect from them and every outfit they wear is analyses. Right now I’m in a political state of mind. The world is watching as Nigeria votes for it’s next President. But aside from that, the results will also decide which First Lady we’ll have for the next four years! So we’ve gone on a hunt for the most glamorous, elegant and beautiful Political Beauties around the world. Past and present.. And we start by sharing four of the beautiful First Ladies of the Middle East. Queen Rania First on my list but in no particular order, is Queen Rania of Jordan. Beauty Police: – BET Awards 2014: Best (and Worst) of The Red Carpet Looks

Hey Guys There’s nothing more exciting than a good old fashioned Red Carpet Event, Hollywood Style.  The eyes of the world are focused on who’s wearing what and who came together.  But our eyes are focused solely on how they did what and in which colour! Lol The BET Awards help place yesterday and there were definately alot of hits (and misses).  Some beauty traps such as the scorching sun made quite a few of our regular favourites struggle to maintain their glow and melted faces unforgiving! White was a big trend on the red carpet this year, and while we don’t really focus on fashion and what they wore, you have to take your outfit into consideration when planning your entire look.  If you’re entire ensemble is monotone then you’re going to need a little something extra to make sure you don’t look drained.  White is such a fresh clean colour, you’ve got to make sure you’re makeup is on point! Blonde hair was another big trend. However, again, depending on your skin tone, …

Beauty Police: The Looks we LOVED from the Met Gala 2014!

Hey Guys!!! Met Gala 2014 has come and gone! What’s the Met Ball anyways?  Well, it’s fashion’s most glamorous night  hosted by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. This years ball took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. The Met Gala is the single most important fashion event of the year and it’s all about making statements through high fashion. Everyone who is everyone makes an appearance and this year the theme of the night is a tribute to Charles James, America’s First Couturier. Ermm, though we are everyone, we didn’t attend the ball! But we kinda had our eyes on it and some of the red carpet appearances caught our eyes! Enjoy the pictures! Flapper-inspired Silhouettes Made a Dramatic Statement on the Met Gala Red Carpet

Celebrity Style Spotlight: Why We Love Temi Dollface – Beauty Style Crush

I remember the night I first heard the name “Temi Dollface”.. I was at home in London just after giving birth.. up late with nothing to do, my husband mentioned “I just saw a video by a new artist, I think you’d like her, she has the kind of style you like.”  He also went on to proclaim that she had the best video he’d seen in a long time from a Nigerian artist.   Now this really intrigued me. My husband, bless his VERY critical.  He can dissect a video from beginning to end. So coming from him this was high praise indeed. Anyway, after the conversation I figured I’d just browse through youtube to see what i’d find.  I mean, as I said, I’d heard of her but i’d never seen any of her videos or heard any of her songs that I could recall.  Let’s just say, I didn’t go to bed till about 5 am..  I fell in Love with her!

Sacred Beauty Police – Ladies in Venice

When an event is held in one of the fashion power house of the world, I expect every one to dress up for the occasion. Here is a pick of my favorite looks at the Venice International Film Festival. The trends were classic smokey eyes in shimmery earth tones, bronze, copper, pinks; perfect long voluminous lashes; just blushed contoured cheeks and nude, pink and red lips. If I had to choose a phrase for the trending makeup looks I would call it – sophisticated socialite. Even though most celebrities had their game right through out the festive, particularly impressive were  Vanessa Hudgens’ flawless just tanned face, Freida Pinto’s shimmery brown classic smokey eyes, Maika Monroe’s long separated lashes, Keira Knightley’s just pinch of blush cheeks and the tangy-red lips of Miranda Kerr.

Sacred Beauty Police: 5 Hair Trends We Loved In Olympics 2012

The 2012 Olympic athletes inspired us through their  physical fitness and glamour, we had a visual feast, our fellow women looking spot on gorgeous both on the field and in the pool. As we wrap up the Olympic trends that inspired us we take a short-breather from the makeup into the hair trends that you can adapt into easy, wearable and very feminine styles. Beauty Police: Olympics Edition 2012: The Williams Sisters

By Raspberry Blush This Olympic season, I’m drawing my makeup inspiration from the gorgeous women who inspire us through their competitive spirit, dedication and courage to achieve their sporting dreams. To start off, here are the William sisters. I have been cheering them on since the 2000 Olympics, they sparked my interest in tennis and my short lived attempt on the sport. They have come a long way together and they still make a powerful team. Even though they share the court in the Olympics women’s double, each makes a  unique fashion statement.

Red Carpet Beauty Police – 65th Cannes Film Festival

By Tolu Orekoya With the trend towards colour when it came to dresses on the 65th Cannes Film festival, the make up swung towards a much softer look. Neutral lips and softly smudged eyes, which supermodel extraordinaire Naomi Campbell pulled off with grace. Naomi also went with the current trend for eyebrows, which was definitely fuller and while neat are not necessarily sharply defined.

Red Carpet Beauty Police – AMAAs 2012

by Tolu Orekoya There’s nothing more glamorous than the red carpet.  From the days of old world hollywood right up to present times, around the world, we all hold our breathes in anticipation waiting to see the biggest names in film, tv and music float down what seems an almost magical carpet.  The fact that you’re even standing on the carpet in the first place announces to us mere mortals that you truly are a celebrity.  Millions of people are glued to their tv screens or pouring through the magazines after the event eager to see who wore what.. who looked amazing and most of all.. who did not! It’s human nature, there’s nothing more satisfying than screaming at the screen “what on earth are you wearing!?”.. But we at Sacred have a higher calling than that.. we’re not interested simply in what they wore.. what we want to know is did their makeup and hair compliment their outfit?  Did she really think that shade of lipstick suited her? OMG who did her hair? (We’re far more civilized don’t …
