Wing It: Cat Eyes For Every Eye Shape

The cat eye is one technique that leaves many feeling defeated. It’s challenging to pull off, and the same eye lining method will not work on every person. The secret? Knowing your eye shape. All you need is our simple eye guide below and a steady hand. If you think cat eyes won’t work on you, think again! A note – it’s common that your eye shape may fall into several categories. Combine recommended techniques to guide you toward a custom cat eye just for you. Down-Turned Eyes A cat eye works very well for this eye shape. Rounded outer lids can create a downturned appearance that’s only enhanced by a hard line. Here’s the trick: instead of following the eye shape, pick the ideal point where you’d like the winged liner to flare, and connect it to your top liner, and then connect to the end of your bottom lid. This is a chunkier cat eye with a triangular look that makes the eyes appear lifted. For even more lift, use a flesh-toned pencil …

Trend Alert: Ombre & Block Coloured Braids!!!

Hey guys, So, it’s been five weeks since I took my braids out and I’m wondering what next to do. Now before I go on you should know that am a braid freak, but I’m always wearing the same colours; black and brown and it’s kind of gotten a bit boring recently. But I’ve recently seen alot of new colours appearing on the radar, it seems like everywhere I turn someone else I know has taken the plunge and jumped on the coloured braids gang.  I personally blame Lola Maja-Okojevoh.  She was always dying her hair one colour or another, pink .. purple.. blue.. red.. blonde. The list never ends. Then she decided to give her hair a rest but noooo she couldn’t be normal like the rest of us, she just had to find a way to be different. There have been quite a few other braid rebels over the last few months including Stephanie Coker, Toyin Lawani and Kristabel Asimonye rocking bright pink, blue and even green braids!   Even on Instagram there …

Beauty Insider: How to choose the best nail shape for you

I have always wondered what nail shape worked best for me and I came across this informative article, I had to share…If you are just like me then this article is meant  for you. Do you know the ideal nail shape for your manicure? Discover five different nail shapes and how to file them. Oval The tapered side walls of the oval create an elegant shape for women. Oval shapes flatter both wide and narrow nail beds, and add length with a graceful tip. To achieve the perfect oval shape, file side walls straight to make sure they’re even. Then, shape the side walls into a rounded oval, making sure the angles are even on each side. Square With strong side walls and sharp or rounded tips, this shape is classic French. The square is ideal for a bigger nail bed (it tends to make smaller nail beds look shorter and wider). To create this timeless shape, file the side walls straight and make sure they’re perpendicular to the free edge of the nail. Once …

And we start by sharing four of the beautiful First Ladies of the Middle East. Queen Rania First on my list but in no particular order, is Queen Rania of Jordan.
